MS. KIVELSON: I am the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal. I have the privilege of introducing the moderator for all of our panel discussions today, Michael Gerrard.
Michael Gerrard is the Environmental Journal's, especially the symposium's, unofficial advisor. He has been a friend to this Journal for several years, as well as a mentor to all of its editors.
When he is not advising law students, Michael Gerrard is a partner in the New York office of Arnold & Porter, where he is involved in environmental litigation, project development, regulatory compliance counseling, and transactional services. He serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and was Chairman of the Environmental Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Gerrard is the author or editor of five books dealing with environmental issues, two of which were named Best Law Book of the Year in 1992 and 1998 by the Association of American ...
