Chapter Summary

ABSTRACT TEXT:

Section 1227 of the Bankruptcy Code describes the effect of confirmation in a Chapter 12 case.

Chapter 1227 of Collier Bankruptcy Manual discusses the effect of confirmation of a Chapter 12 plan. It explains that a confirmed plan is binding on all parties and provides a comparison to the effect of confirmation in a Chapter 11 case. It also provides that confirmation vests property of the estate in the debtor and that vesting is free and clear of claims and interests.

Collier Bankruptcy Manual (Matthew Bender) provides authoritative coverage of bankruptcy law in a time-saving compact guide. It is based on the most well-known and widely used bankruptcy treatise, Collier on Bankruptcy, and is organized by Bankruptcy Code sections for easy access. It provides up-to-date analysis on the Bankruptcy Code, Rules, case law, and related non-bankruptcy law.
